KushyFoot Knocks Us Off Our Feet!

by Shoe Digest on August 9, 2011

The Shoe Digest was recently contacted to test some products from KushyFoot. Upon receiving the products, we knew we were in love at first try! The two items we were sent to test were the KushyFoot Lace Foot Covers, and the KushyFoot Flats-To-Go. Hands down, the Lace Foot Covers are our absolute favorite!

Woman's feet in a pair of KushyFoot Lace Foot CoversThese low cut foot covers came in a beautiful soft pink lace and covered the toe and the lower portion of the foot. They are so soft and comfortable that this in itself would have been enough to make us swoon, but KushyFoot had another treat in store for us! The foot covers also feature a small but super cushy pad that goes right under the ball of your foot. If you’re a lover of high heels, then you know that this portion of the foot bares much of the weight and resulting pain after a long day in sky high heels. The padding in the KushyFoot Lace Foot Covers was a pleasant surprise and provided some much needed relief in this area.

These Lace Foot Covers are also designed to be worn with your open toed shoes, as KushyFoot predicts a pick-up in the recent socks-with-heels trend we’ve seen rolling around the boho circles. We found a particularly nice post that discusses this trend at DylansKloset.com – if you’re wondering what we’re talking about.

Some might turn their nose at trends like this as the way some people do it might be a little ‘out there’, but we’re not arguing with KushyFoot’s reasoning! The cute lace detail is attractive enough to try this trend on for size, making the KushyFoot Lace Foot Covers a most welcome addition to our fashion repertoire. Or, you can wear them in your standard heels or shoes without a stitch peeping out! For example, they’re great with TOMS!

KushyFoot Lace Covers are not visible when wearing TOMS shoesNow you wouldn’t think that TOMS and lace would normally go together, seeing as the shoe has gotten a bit of a “hippie” reputation – but think again.

A common issue with TOMS wearers is that they’re designed to be worn without socks and as a result, often are. The sock-less situation regularly leads to sweaty, stinky feet and shoes. These Lace Foot Covers are ideal in that they do not show when you’re wearing your TOMS, they provide extra cushion to the pad of the foot that is oh-so-delicious, and creates a barrier, all be it thin, between your foot and the leather in the shoe. Now, it’s not your standard cotton tube sock wicking away moisture and whatnot, but it is a small  improvement to a stinky TOMS problem.

The foot covers are made of 87% Nylon and 13% Elastane, giving them a great stretch and a wide range of sizes in one cover. The average women’s 8 shoe size will definitely and very comfortably fit into the ‘Regular’ size foot cover that fits sizes 5 to 9. Not only are these Lace Foot Covers attractive, they’re easy to care for! Hand wash separately without bleach and let drip dry – super easy!

Keep an eye out for our KushyFoot Flats-To-Go review to be published in the near future – after we’ve given them a good testing that is!

Just a note on this topic:

The leather insole in TOMS shoes WILL STAIN materials. We would recommend using dark colors if you utilize your lace foot covers this way.

Thanks!
